Anarkali kurti: This is an evergreen style and women have been loving it since ages. Anarkali kurtis originated from the Mughal style of dressing, and ever since, it has stayed with us because of its classy and glamorous look and feel. It is very popular among the Bollywood celebrities as well. It can range from a simple embroidered one to something with heavy zari worked ones. This kurta comes in a variety of fabrics like cotton, georgette, brocade, silk, net and chanderi, etc. Best suited for evening parties or special occasions, Anarkali kurtis can be paired with churidars, long skirts, palazzos, jeans and ethnic jackets for a defining Indian look.

They can be matched with leggings, jeggings, jeans, dhotis, capris, tights and even palazzos. Aline Kurtis come in all sorts of prints, patterns and fabrics to make you obtain variations.
You can choose an Anarkali kurti or an Aline Kurti according to your body shape and preference. Check out what would look good on you, if you have the following body types.
Hourglass Shaped: This is like a perfect body shape anyone can wish for. Both Anarkali kurtis and Aline kurtis suit this body type. Since, this shape, the chest and bust are well defined, choose proper fitted Anakalis, probably with low necklines. Choose a straight or boot cut lower. Avoid loose-fitting Anarkali kurtis or those with heavy fabrics. As A-line kurtis look good on everyone, hourglass-shaped women also can give a try to these kurtis and standout awesome.
Pear Shaped: This is the most common type of body shape in India, where women have narrow shoulders and heavy bottom. For them, Anarkali kurtis with more flares should be chosen, maybe an A-line Anarkali or a Floor length one. One can also opt for boat or square neckline. Churidar or pajama goes well as a contrast to these types of Kurtis.
Apple Shaped: In this body shape the weight is mostly in the central portion. So, choose a well fitted Kurti, preferably an Aline Anarkali which gives the balancing shape. Do not opt for loosely fitted ones. A heavy embroidered or a V-shaped neckline looks good. Simple short Aline kurtis might not be the best choice for this body type.
Rectangle Shaped: Both Anarkali and Aline kurtis suits this body type. Since the waist is not properly defined in this type of shape, choose a fitting Anarkali kurti with lots of pleats in the front. You can also choose a longer one or something with a jacket. Deep necklines look good on this type of figure.
Inverted Triangle Shaped: Here again the Anarkali kurti with a lot of flare around the waist looks good. Opt for low U or deep necklines. Aline Anarkalis also look good. Avoid boat neck or collared ones.
