Aditi who has built quite a fan following has established herself as a successful Biggest Luxury American Indian influencer over the course of 5 years.
American Indians are creating names for themselves in almost all spheres of life, whether that is politics, technology, business or television. Another niche where American Indians are thriving is blogging. Among them is Aditi Oberoi Malhotra who grew up in Delhi and studied fashion from NIFT who has built quite a fan following has established herself as a successful LUXURY fashion blogger and social media star.
Aditi’s Blogging Career Began
when she realized that there’s a lack of representation of Indian Americans in luxury fashion. Today, she’s a role model for other women and through her fashion tips, she helps them to be unafraid of accepting themselves the way they are. Diversity is beautiful and what makes you more beautiful is your uniqueness.
She started her blogging journey in 2015. Five years down the line, Aditi is collaborating with the likes of Givenchy and Dior one of the most sought after brands in the name of luxury fashion.
If there’s one thing other young women can learn from her, that is her ability to make the best use of her passion. Although blogging is her most prominent activity, Aditi is also a social media strategist for brands in fashion, beauty and lifestyle. “To do well in life, you need to love what you do and do the things that you want to do. Destiny gives you the opportunity. it opens the doors. Hard work helps you make the most of that opportunity. There is no substitute for hard work, no matter who you are or what you do. I am so motivated and love my work so much that I am excited to start my day.
She Explains.
Coming to a new country and establishing yourself can be challenging and takes a great deal of determination and hard work. “I don’t think it matters at all where you come from, what matters is how hard you are willing to work to make it happen. The hunger to learn and to better what I do every time is important to me as an individual. It may not be the same for other people. I like to be the best at whatever I do… I compete with myself all the time. It is what drives me. Everyone needs to find the one thing that drives them… whatever that might be.”
Her family is her biggest strength and she has learnt some valuable lessons over the years growing up in India. “My family is my backbone. My parents gave me the strength to pursue my dreams and have stood by me and behind me 100 percent of the time. One of the most critical lessons I have learnt is discipline, which was instilled in me from a very young age. Punctuality, the right etiquette, respect for people. I think, overall, it has helped me to develop a well-rounded personality, all thanks to my parents for instilling those values in me.”
But just like any business, hers has also gone through the downs from where she’s risen back up. Even in the face of difficulty, Aditi stayed patient and persistent. Her determination is such that she trudges on towards her goal come failure, rain or pain
“The trick is not to let failure beat you. It breaks your heart, yes! But you have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and carry on. As a blogger, when I started in 2015 I would reach out to a lot of different brands, with little or no response. But the idea is not to give up and keep on working hard towards your goal.
Persistence and the quality of work you do will pay off and you will get noticed. I stayed committed because of all the hard work and love I invested in my career I couldn’t let failure stop me.”
“I have worked in an office job that gave me a perspective on how an organization is run that gave me the tools I needed to run my own business successfully” and today she’s in charge of her life and all her decisions.
“I love being my own boss. “I have learnt from my own personal experience that if you put your mind to something and give it all you got… nothing is impossible. I always want to be in control, be creative and be producing amazing content. Being able to call the shots professionally and creatively in every new project gives me a rush every time!” she exclaims.
This purpose-driven young lady has all the right reasons to inspire other women to follow their passion, celebrate diversity and stay true to themselves.
